Is Traveling Overrated? AI Relationships, Family Support & The Modern Village | Ep. 10

Are we getting a little TOO comfortable with AI? 👀 Is traveling actually overrated? And when did supporting your friends and family become an obligation? Episode 10 of the Family Business Podcast is one of those conversations where Rome and Kassani sit down and just TALK—and somehow one topic turns into five. We kick things off with a life update, including Kassani’s new Tahoe, Niyah heading back to school, and Rome putting together a Traffic Stop 101 workshop to help young people understand what to do—and what NOT to do—when they get pulled over. Then the conversation goes everywhere. We revisit the Lindsay Clancy case and discuss mental health, accountability, access to resources, and why social media can make complicated situations feel way more black-and-white than they actually are. Then things get futuristic. 😂 Rome shares what happened when he had multiple AI platforms talking to each other, which leads us down the rabbit hole of AI girlfriends and boyfriends, AI companionship, digital relationships, social isolation, and what human connection could look like in the future. Because at what point does talking to AI stop feeling weird…and just become normal? Then Kassani asks a question that might get us in trouble: Is traveling overrated? 😂 We talk about why traveling isn't everybody's idea of enjoying life, the pressure social media puts on people to constantly vacation, and why sometimes creating an everyday life you don't need to escape from sounds pretty good too. And finally, we get into support, family, and the modern-day village. Are your friends and family obligated to support your business? Should your relatives automatically buy your products, watch your podcast, or share your content? Are grandparents obligated to be active grandparents? And does “it takes a village” still work when modern families live hours—or even states—apart? This episode is exactly what Family Business is about: marriage, parenting, family, culture, technology, business, and two people trying to make sense of this crazy modern world together. QUESTION OF THE EPISODE: Which one are you debating with us? 🤖 AI relationships becoming normal ✈️ Traveling being overrated 👨‍👩‍👧 Family being obligated to support you 🏡 The modern “village” disappearing Drop your take in the comments—we already know y’all are going to have opinions. 😂 👍 Like the episode 💬 Join the conversation 🔔 Subscribe and turn on notifications for more Family Business Podcast Follow @fambusinesspod for clips, behind-the-scenes moments, and more from Rome & Kassani. #FamilyBusinessPodcast #ModernLife #MarriagePodcast #FamilyPodcast #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #Travel #FamilySupport #Parenting #RealConversations

Parents… Y’all Good? | Parenting, Social Media, Mental Health & Being Watched | Ep. 9

Parents… y’all good? 👀 Because raising kids, maintaining your own identity, navigating social media, and trying to keep up with the world today is A LOT. In Episode 9 of the Family Business Podcast, Rome and Kassani are back with another real, unfiltered conversation about life, family, parenting, social media, technology, and everything in between. We start by catching up on life, celebrating the release and early success of Rome’s book The Rules to Rule, and talking about something almost every creator eventually experiences: people who somehow turn your success into something personal. Why does simply being proud of what you’re building sometimes look like “bragging” to somebody else? Then things get deeper. We talk about the Lindsay Clancy case, postpartum mental health, responsibility, and how quickly opinions on social media can become accepted as facts without people ever researching the full story. That leads us into another question: Are we already being watched more than we realize? From Flock license-plate cameras and police body cameras to Ring cameras, smartphones, location tracking, targeted ads, and AI—we debate the line between privacy, safety, security, and technology. And finally, we check in with the parents. Because sometimes everybody asks about the kids, the house, the job, and the family…but when was the last time somebody asked: How are YOU doing? We get into: • Parent burnout and making time for yourself • Why parents shouldn’t feel guilty for needing a break • The pressure to create the “perfect childhood” • Overscheduling kids with sports and activities • Things we judged parents for before becoming parents ourselves • Watching your child grow up faster than you expected • The physical vs. emotional exhaustion of parenting • Our experience raising a teenager with different needs • And, of course…why sometimes you just have to GET YOUR KIDS. 😂 Family Business is about the conversations that actually happen when the cameras aren’t rolling—marriage, parenting, careers, family, growth, culture, and figuring life out together. 💬 QUESTION OF THE EPISODE: Parents, when was the last time you genuinely took time for yourself—and what does a “break” look like for you? **Are We Getting Too Comfortable?! 😂 | Unpopular Opinions, Social Media & Modern Life | Ep. 7**

Sometimes you don’t need one big topic—you just need to sit down with your person and TALK. 😂 In Episode 7 of the Family Business Podcast, Rome and Kassani are back with another unfiltered conversation about the random things happening in life, culture, family, social media, and adulthood that somehow turn into full debates. From how much social media has changed the way we interact with the world to the things people do today that would’ve seemed completely crazy years ago—we’re giving our opinions, comparing how we grew up to life now, and probably saying a few things y’all are going to disagree with. 😂 And while we’re at it… PLEASE stop showing up at people’s houses unannounced. 😭 Because being friends or family does NOT mean we were mentally prepared for company today. This episode is one of those classic Family Business conversations: funny, opinionated, relatable, and all over the place in the best way. We’re talking about: • Social media changing everyday life • How much access people have to each other now • Modern culture vs. how we grew up • Adult friendships and boundaries • Unexpected guests 👀 • Why a heads-up before coming over is REQUIRED 😂 • Family, life, and the random conversations married couples have at home • And plenty of side conversations along the way Because sometimes the best conversations aren’t planned—they’re the ones that start with one question and somehow end up somewhere completely different. 💬 QUESTION OF THE EPISODE: What’s one completely normal thing people do today that you personally CAN’T stand? And bonus question: Are you okay with people popping up at your house unannounced? 😂 Drop your answer in the comments. 👍 LIKE the episode 💬 COMMENT and join the conversation 🔔 SUBSCRIBE for more episodes of the Family Business Podcast Follow @fambusinesspod for clips, behind-the-scenes moments, and more from Rome & Kassani. #FamilyBusinessPodcast #UnpopularOpinions #ModernLife #Adulting #SocialMedia #MarriagePodcast #FamilyPodcast #RealConversations #MillennialLife

The Sacrifices That Built Our Family

In this episode of the Family Business Podcast, Jerome and Kass sit down for a real conversation about the different seasons of life and the different sacrifices that come with them. Every family goes through moments where somebody has to adjust, step back, step up, or carry more weight for the people they love. Jerome and Kass talk about the times in their lives when they both had to make sacrifices for their family, their relationship, their daughter, their careers, and their future. This episode is about understanding that sacrifice does not always look the same. Sometimes it means working more. Sometimes it means being home more. Sometimes it means putting your personal goals on pause. Sometimes it means supporting your partner while they chase theirs. Through every season, the goal is not to keep score. The goal is to keep building. Different seasons require different sacrifices, but when the family stays the priority, the sacrifice has purpose. This is a conversation about love, partnership, parenting, growth, and what it really takes to build a family together.

Balancing the Business, the Job, and the Family

In this episode of the Family Business Podcast, we talk about one of the hardest lessons many families face: learning how to work hard without losing the people you are working for. Careers, businesses, money, and professional goals matter, but they should never become more important than your home, your marriage, your children, or your peace. Sometimes we convince ourselves that being busy means we are providing, but being present is part of providing too. We discuss the pressure to succeed, the guilt that comes with choosing work over family, the importance of communication, and how couples can protect their relationship while still chasing goals. This conversation is about finding balance, setting priorities, and remembering that your profession should support your family — not replace it. Family Business Podcast is about real life, real relationships, and building a family while still building yourself. Watch, listen, and ask yourself: are you working for your family, or slowly working away from them?

“Why Women Choose the Bad Boy: Social Psychology Explained”

In this episode of Family Business, we break down “Why Women Choose the Bad Boy: Social Psychology Explained.” We dive deep into the psychology of attraction—why excitement, danger, and unpredictability can sometimes outweigh stability and security. From women forming relationships with men in prison to the influence of power, confidence, and emotional intensity, we unpack what’s really going on beneath the surface. We also tap into concepts from The 48 Laws of Power and The Art of Seduction, exploring how strategy, presence, and perception shape attraction. Along the way, we reference the work of David Buss and evolutionary psychology to understand how biology and environment both play a role in modern dating dynamics. This conversation challenges the “good guy vs bad boy” narrative and asks a deeper question—are people choosing wrong, or are they responding exactly how they’re wired? Lead • Teach • Inspire.

Stop Blaming Social Media for Your Relationship Problems | Family Business Podcast Ep. 8

Did social media really ruin your relationship… or did it just reveal the problems that were already there? 👀 In Episode 8 of the Family Business Podcast, Rome and Kassani have a real conversation about relationships in the social media era—and why TikTok, Instagram, DMs, likes, followers, and outside attention may not actually be the problem. Sometimes social media simply exposes the insecurities, jealousy, distrust, competition, and weak foundations that already existed behind closed doors. As our own platforms continue to grow and more people recognize us online and in public, we’ve had to have honest conversations about what comes with that attention. How do you handle one partner getting more followers? What happens when strangers start showing interest? When does posting become disrespectful? And how do you keep social media from becoming a third voice in your relationship? In this episode, we get into: • Jealousy and insecurity on social media • DMs, likes, followers, and outside attention • Why couples start competing with each other • The difference between a real relationship and a “social media couple” • Building a foundation before putting your relationship online • Why attention can become addictive • Setting boundaries without policing your partner • Having uncomfortable conversations BEFORE problems happen • Recognizing when social media becomes the third voice in your relationship • Why your partner’s success should never feel like your loss • How Rome and Kassani navigate becoming more public after years of being private The biggest takeaway? Social media doesn’t automatically destroy healthy relationships. It puts pressure on the foundation—and eventually reveals where the cracks already were. We’ve been together since we were teenagers, long before our relationship became content. That foundation matters. And even now, as we enter a new season of sharing more of our marriage, family, and everyday life publicly, we know new levels of visibility can bring new challenges. So before blaming TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, or somebody sliding into the DMs, ask the harder question: What was happening in the relationship before social media magnified it? 💬 QUESTION OF THE EPISODE: Do you think social media creates relationship problems—or just reveals the ones that were already there? Drop your opinion in the comments.
