Grandma Alma Levasseur is the starting point of my questions and interest in genealogy. I never really knew her. She died at the age of 83 when I was still very young: eight decades separate us. In the few photos that are kept, we discover a woman of small size, smiling very rarely, whose spine has bent over time. Her back has curved as if the bag of the heart had become too heavy to carry.
