Episode notes
How do you prepare a Bible lesson that children will actually understand, remember, and apply?
In this episode of The Great Commission Toolkit, Chase Williams shares the framework he uses to prepare children's messages that are clear, biblical, practical, and gospel-centered.
The goal isn't simply to teach a Bible story.
The goal is to teach people—not curriculum.
Whether you're preparing a lesson for Sunday School, junior church, VBS, camp, Awana, or another children's ministry, these practical principles will help you organize your message so children understand God's Word and know how to respond to it.
In this episode you'll learn:
✅ Why every message needs a clear purpose
✅ How to write an engaging introduction
✅ What a proposition is (and why it matters)
✅ How to move from Scripture to application
✅ A simple framework for every teaching point: • Supporting Verse • Explanation • Illustration • Application
✅ How to transition between points smoothly
✅ Why every lesson needs a clear conclusion
✅ Why you should write out your invitation
✅ How to teach both church kids and unchurched kids
If you're a pastor, children's worker, camp speaker, VBS teacher, evangelist, or Sunday School teacher, this episode will give you practical tools to communicate God's Word more effectively.
