The Drover's Wife

Tonight’s story is The Drover’s Wife by Henry Lawson, a quiet and powerful tale set in the lonely Australian bush.

Far from town and surrounded by miles of wilderness, a drover’s wife is left to care for her children while her husband is away. When an unexpected danger appears near their small home, she settles in for a long night of waiting. Keeping watch, tending to her family, and reflecting on the hardships and small moments that have shaped her life.
