With a gang war playing out in the background, there must have been a bit of a wild west feel in the air between the amazing bank and armored car heists pulled off by Jack Kelley and his crew and the equally amazing failures that others attempted to pull off. 1968 was especially busy and many of the suspects from that year have popped up in the 1990 Gardner Museum Heist investigation.
