Pausing is Power! Go Take a Nap!

You're not lazy, your probably just need to take a nap! Siesta in Europe and South America Deskansa in Timor-Leste Vakacequ in Fijian 睡午觉 in China I talk about nap and rest culture abroad, how organizations can implement nap culture using Kotter's 8 step change plan, getting a different perspectives through cross training and seemingly unrelated activities. Like how an MMA athlete will cross train by implementing cardio, strength training, and technique sessions. Organizations can get inspiration from other cultures and implement these learnings. --- Want a copy of Bota Ira (I wrote it with all the love)? Using Sports to integrate into a New Culture + Fiji 7 Dollar Bill

Sports are heavily embedded in the culture of any country. In this episode of Double Double, I talk about Fijian rugby and how they are just born into the game and why they are so good at it. How sports are some of the best ways to make friends, either playing or watching them, and attending sporting events in person is something special. And a story of how we stopped class just to watch the Rugby 7s game. When Fiji is playing, the village and world stops for a little bit to enjoy watching the game together. --- Want a copy of Bota Ira (I wrote it with all the love)? Listen to the Music!! 🎶

Music is heavily tied to language, probably one of the best way to learn! I talk about how listening to local music, finding new music, through attending events, riding the bus and just shuffling around record stores can help expand your music library and make friends along the way! Walkable Cities are So Cool!

Walkable cities are really so cool to travel to. All you need is a backpack and an open heart. You'll meet some nice people, make new friends, eat at some great restaurants, and take some cool photos! Also car enthusiasts should be pro public transport because it means less cars on the road if more people ride trains, bike or walk! A win-win situation right? Let me know!
