Do You Hear Me Now? Amplifying Indigenous Voices was created as a platform to shine some love on Indigenous Music and Musicians and to uplift new artists. Help us create space for the next generation of Indigenous Music Creators. The podcast was actually started in an Independent Study class at Macewan University. The original title was The Thicker Than Blood Podcast and the goal was to interview Elder Indigenous Musicians and get them to tell there stories in their own words. Covid had other plans and the Thicker Than Blood Podcast eventually became Do You Hear Me Now? Amplifying Indigenous Voices. This was one of the first interviews we did, and Carrie Bouvette -Mason was an Indigenous musician, Author and community leader. Carrie passed away in August of 2022 and it was important for me to share her story.
