JOIN US this SATURDAY JULY 2nd, from 1-6pm ET on 89.1FM or online at wfdu.fm honoring the legacy of Vicki Solá, with Marysol Cerdeira, DJ King Louis Vazquez and Jose Calderon!!The summer in New York is officially here! To celebrate this joyous long weekend of independence (July 4th), we will host a very special show informing all of the upcoming 111th Street Old Timers Day. After 2 years of absence, we look forward to sharing this unique experience within our community commemorating its 54th anniversary. Joining us will be Willie Renta and Robert Guilbe as we acknowledge the amazing and hard-working committee who puts together a day-long festival for all to enjoy, which includes stickball, salsa and the unification of a community. We fondly honor the memory of Charlie Candelario, committee president, beloved son of El Barrio who we lost in 2019 and to whom we owe over 50 years of music, stickball, culture and solidarity every 2nd Sunday in July in El Barrio, NYC. This celebration will happen on air with Que Viva La Música! Please join us... y Que Viva El Barrio!
