Community Is the New Luxury

What if luxury isn't only about what we can afford—but about the people we can trust? In this episode, we're talking about community: the villages that raised us, the beautiful things worth carrying forward, and the dysfunction we're perfectly happy leaving behind. 😂 I'm also sharing what I'm learning about finding your people, being somebody else's people, emotional safety, reciprocity, accountability, and why I believe we don't have to arrive knowing everything—we just have to be willing to grow. Because maybe the question isn't only, “Where are my people?” Maybe it's also, “Who am I becoming when I am somebody else's people?” We're all here learning. 💜

Respect the Boundary

We all have boundaries—but how well do we respect the boundaries of others? This week on Divine Resonance SoulCast, I’m talking about personal space, physical touch, the simple courtesy of asking before assuming access, and what happens when someone tells us, “Hey, that makes me uncomfortable.” Because you don’t have to understand someone’s boundary to respect it. And sometimes a boundary isn’t someone pushing you away. They’re teaching you how to be in relationship with them. I’m also sharing a little of my own character work this year—learning to look at how I show up with others, how I respond when I’ve crossed a line, and remembering that growth isn’t about never getting it wrong. It’s about what we do once we know better. We’re talking hugs, personal space, habitual line steppers 😂 and yes… Please stop touching people’s hair without asking. 👀😂 Come sit with me, Family. 💜 🎙️ Divine Resonance SoulCast with Sakinah Jannah We’re all here learning.

The Other Side of the Boundary

Last week we talked about respecting the boundary. This week, we're talking about what happens when you're the one who has to set it. Because setting a boundary is one thing. Maintaining it when someone you love doesn't like it? That's where some of the real work begins. We're talking about guilt, reciprocity, managing access to your time and energy, communicating boundaries without becoming unkind—and learning that you don't have to block somebody just because you're no longer available on demand. I've had to learn this one too. 👀 Sometimes protecting my peace means choosing when I'm available, because whoever I give access to deserves the Best Tiffany—not the angry, triggered Tiffany. 😂 And once you experience the peace that comes from honoring what you need, the question starts to change. Not just: “Do other people respect my boundaries?” But: “Do I?” Come sit with me, Family. 💜

What Am I Doing With My Life?

Explicit
Last month, I was genuinely asking myself that question. Do I go back to corporate? Do I keep doing hair? I'm a hairstylist, formulator, podcaster, multi-business owner… But one thing I knew for CERTAIN: I was NOT a content creator. 😂 Then I had to look at what I was actually doing. Oh damn. I AM A DAMN CONTENT CREATOR. 😭😂 But this episode became about something much bigger than content creation. It's about embracing change at this stage of life. Being willing to become a beginner again. Learning the new thing instead of automatically deciding it isn't for you simply because it's unfamiliar. My mother taught me that years ago without even realizing it. 💜 So if you've been asking yourself, “What am I doing with my life?” maybe you don't need the whole answer today. Maybe the better question is: What am I willing to learn in this season of my life? 🎧 Divine Resonance SoulCast — Episode 35 What Am I Doing With My Life? Because we're all here learning. 💜

Community Is the New Luxury

Hey family. What does community mean to you? Growing up, I thought having people around who helped raise you, welcomed you into their homes, and looked out for your future was normal. Later, as a single mother, I experienced that same support while my best friend and I raised our children together. Now that my community is spread out, I understand just how much that togetherness gave me. In this episode, I’m sharing memories of my parents’ hospitality, Dad’s “Nibbleys,” and the family we build through friendship. We’re talking about trust, reciprocal care, and what it means to have people you can count on. Take inventory of the people in your life. Who’s there? What’s missing? Then share with me: what does community mean to you? 💜

Care Can Come Through Imperfect People

Explicit
Hey family. Have you ever dismissed advice because you looked at the person giving it and thought, “Who are YOU to tell me?” Sometimes an imperfect person recognizes the pothole in our path because they’ve fallen into it themselves. In this episode, I’m talking about being open to useful wisdom while keeping our own judgment and boundaries. We’ll talk about why “I’ll consider it” doesn’t mean “You’re right,” how I use journaling to work through my first reaction, and how to look honestly at our behavior without turning someone else’s words into a permanent label. What have you learned from an unexpected person? Share your experience—and as you reflect, be gentle with yourself. Give yourself grace. Don’t give up on yourself.
