A bloody ear, thumb, and toe—Why? In the Old Covenant, only the natural offspring of Aaron, the high priest, could be included in the priesthood. In the New Covenant, only the supernatural offspring of the Lord Jesus, the Great High Priest, are granted this status and calling, both now and forevermore. Learn how the initiation rites for priests under the former era reveal profound truths, on a much higher level, about our priestly calling during this age of grace! Going deep in God’s Word! Those who are “of faith” under the New Covenant are referred to as “the children of Abraham” who are “blessed with faithful Abraham." Scripture even declares that Jesus “became a curse” that “the blessing of Abraham” might pass to us. If it was that important to Him, we should deem it important to examine—and claim by faith (Galatians 3:7-14). How can New Jerusalem (“Jerusalem above”) be “the mother of us all” (all born again believers)? Why is the contrast between heavenly Jerusalem and earthly Jerusalem compared to Sarah and Hagar in the epistle to the Galatians? And why did the apostle Paul name God’s New Covenant people “children of the freewoman”? Many mysterious, scriptural metaphors will be revealed during this episode. No one can share God’s glory, right? Actually, the exact opposite is true. God’s people are even named “partakers of the glory” and “the house of His glory”! Before Jesus went to the cross, He prayed, “Father, the glory you gave Me, I have given them.” So, this has already been established by a divine decree! This revelation is glorious! “The Circumcision” is a name given to God’s New Covenant offspring in Philippians 3:3. Are we the spiritual fulfillment of the natural, Old Covenant rite of circumcision given to Abraham. It was a sign of his covenant with God in ancient days. Is it still a sign now—yet on a much higher level? Learn the mystery of both the shadow and the substance, both the symbol and the supernatural reality—and most importantly, rejoice in the miracle of a circumcised heart.
