EU says beef suspension will remain until FMD Is contained

The European Union (EU) says its temporary suspension of some Namibian meat imports has no fixed end date and will depend on the successful containment and eradication of foot-and-mouth disease. EU ambassador Ana-Beatriz Martins says the bloc is prepared to support Namibia with veterinary expertise as efforts continue to restore beef exports to Europe.
