We welcome to the show Renae, she shares her story of being a wildland firefighter, initial attack dispatcher ,a hotshot superintendent's wife, the Center Manager of the Blue Mountain Interagency dispatch center, and a program specialist for the Casualty Assistance Program a interagency organization that support families and loved ones when serious injury occurs. Renae has a gift for navigating the logistical and emotional needs of firefighters and their families. She highlights the harsh realities of losing folks on and off duty and the resources that have been established to assist all individuals involve. Renae shares some of the ways she looks for the good in live with her dogs and quality time with her family. It was a pleasure spending time with her and listening to a well respected leader and master of her craft.
