Matthew 9:36—10:8 At the sight of the crowds, Jesus’ heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” Then he summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and to cure every disease and every illness. The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus; Simon from Cana, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him. Jesus sent out these twelve after instructing them thus, “Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town. Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.” 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/experiencemagdala/ 👍 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/magdalenglish 📢 Subscribe to our Newsletter 👉 https://bit.ly/magdala-newsletter 💟 Help us to keep developing the Magdala Project. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Sonand anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him."Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,for I am meek and humble of heart;and you will find rest for yourselves. Mark 12:38-44 In the course of his teaching Jesus said,“Beware of the scribes, who like to go around in long robesand accept greetings in the marketplaces, seats of honor in synagogues, and places of honor at banquets. They devour the houses of widows and, as a pretext, recite lengthy prayers. They will receive a very severe condemnation.”He sat down opposite the treasuryand observed how the crowd put money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums.A poor widow also came and put in two small coins worth a few cents. Calling his disciples to himself, he said to them,“Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in morethan all the other contributors to the treasury. For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had,her whole livelihood.” 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/experiencemagdala/ 👍 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/magdalenglish 📢 Subscribe to our Newsletter 👉 https://bit.ly/magdala-newsletter 💟 Help us to keep developing the Magdala Project. Matthew 5:1-12 When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him. He began to teach them, saying:“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute youand utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me.Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/experiencemagdala/ 👍 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/magdalenglish 📢 Subscribe to our Newsletter 👉 https://bit.ly/magdala-newsletter 💟 Help us to keep developing the Magdala Project. John 6:51-58 Jesus said to the Jewish crowds:"I am the living bread that came down from heaven;whoever eats this bread will live forever;and the bread that I will giveis my flesh for the life of the world."The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying,"How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" Jesus said to them,"Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my bloodhas eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my bloodremains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent meand I have life because of the Father,so also the one who feeds on mewill have life because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever." 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/experiencemagdala/ 👍 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/magdalenglish 📢 Subscribe to our Newsletter 👉 https://bit.ly/magdala-newsletter 💟 Help us to keep developing the Magdala Project. Mark 12:28-34 One of the scribes came to Jesus and asked him,"Which is the first of all the commandments?"Jesus replied, "The first is this:Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this:You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these."The scribe said to him, "Well said, teacher. You are right in saying,He is One and there is no other than he.And to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourselfis worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."And when Jesus saw that he answered with understanding,he said to him, "You are not far from the Kingdom of God."And no one dared to ask him any more questions. 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/experiencemagdala/ 👍 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/magdalenglish 📢 Subscribe to our Newsletter 👉 https://bit.ly/magdala-newsletter 💟 Help us to keep developing the Magdala Project.
