    Post-Exertional Malaise (PEM) Is Only Indirectly Caused By Exercise! - MECFS

    Many people who experience post-exertional malaise become afraid of exercising and using their muscles. Many treatments focus on gradually increasing your exercise intensity to overcome this fear. Unfortunately, the mechanical methods (such as pacing) to gradually increase your exercise rarely work. Part of the reason for this is that we make exercise dangerous in our minds. Luckily, exercise only indirectly triggers PEM. Okay, you are moving your muscles, but there is something else going on at an unconscious level. Once we find this other stressor and allow you to focus on it, you will experience PEM immediately. In other cases, movement loosens a stressor from your tissue and muscles. If you come home after exercise and experience PEM, you can connect with the stressor. After a successful release, the PEM will vanish instantly. There is no need to wait a few days to let it wind down anymore.     Stress, in any form, makes falling asleep harder. This guided meditation helps you relax and calm the mind.     Finding The Root Cause Of Your Symptoms - ME/CFS - Long COVID - Fybromyalgia

    Behind every symptom is a stressor. It is my job to find the underlying stressor that is causing your current symptoms. I'm not interested in your pain or fatigue from yesterday, but rather in your current symptoms. Your symptoms could include pain, vertigo, grogginess, or depersonalizations, among others. Each stressor is activated via triggers. Without knowing it, every situation you involve yourself in can trigger a stressor that is already inside you. If we find the underlying stressor, we can increase and decrease your symptoms on demand. Many people assume their symptoms to be pathogenic, such as parasites or toxins. These kinds of stressors can also cause symptoms, but they won't allow you to experience good and bad days. These kinds of stressors don't cause you to have fatigue and pain that you experience in a condition such as ME/CFS, fybromyalgia, adrenal fatigue, or long COVID.
