Episode notes
How do you know that you're really a Christian?
Many people point to a prayer they prayed, a decision they made, or an experience they had years ago. But what does the Bible say?
In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey begins a two-part study examining the biblical evidence of salvation. Drawing heavily from 1 John and the teachings of Jesus, this message explores how believers can evaluate their faith honestly and confidently.
Part One covers:
• Why thinking you're a Christian doesn't necessarily make you one
• What Jesus meant when He warned that many would be deceived about their faith
• Why Christians belong to God
• Why assurance must be grounded in Scripture, not assumptions
• The evidence of recognizing your inability to save yourself
• Trusting completely in Christ's work for salvation
• Growing obedience as evidence of genuine faith
