Eden Rift, the oldest continually producing vineyard in California, is conveniently situated a mere 20 miles away from the breathtaking Monterey Bay. This historic 120-acre estate, planted by Theophile Vache in 1849, proudly rests on the San Andreas Faultline and forms an integral part of the esteemed Cienega Valley AVA.
Nestled just two miles from the renowned Pinot Noir producer Calera, whose visionary founder Josh Jensen was drawn to the limestone and dolomite-rich soils, Eden Rift has a rich viticultural heritage. In fact, as early as 1860, pioneering vintners recognized the potential of this land and procured some of the first Pinot Noir plantings in California.
