You'll wanna listen to the end of this one! Eric Tangradi joins me to discuss his new career as a licensed Real Estate Agent in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Towards the last 7 minutes of our interview he explains his newest business venture, alongside his partner, former Pittsburgh Steeler Legend Matt Spaeth, which aims to streamline moving city to city or team to team for all Professional Athletes. Tango explains his journey navigating through deciding to play for another year or to continue to explore his options for life after hockey. After trying a few different paths, he decided to really hone in on identifying his skillset and analyzing his experience to eventually land on Real Estate. He runs us through his entire process from the light bulb moment of deciding to go with Real Estate to the application process to now, where he's enjoyed a successful rookie season with Piatt Sotheby's International Realty. I had a lot of fun chatting with Tango and listening to him passionately speak on his new business was a lot of fun. EP 5 with Lee Guerrine - Tattoo Artist & Shop Owner
I am joined by Lee Guerrine, a tattoo artist originally from Ireland who now calls Canada home. Lee owns Rocky Mountain Tattoo with shops in Kelowna, BC and Lethbridge, AB. In this episode, Lee and I discuss his introduction into art, as well as his beginnings as a tattoo artist which incredibly started at the age of 11. Using ingenius methods, he began tattooing on himself and some willing friends. From there, he was mentored before joining the military, where he began to hone his craft as a tattoo artist on other members of the military. Upon completing his service, he reconnected with his mentor and began to explore his options. Lee decided to come to Canada and has since opened two shops of his own, where he currently heads the team at his Kelowna location. Lee provides insightful stories of his journey as an artist and as a man. He has dedicated himself to his personal development and has seen success follow his efforts. He gives helpful information on beginning your journey as an artist and covers a range of topics from starting out, to being a good team member and beyond. I am grateful for his time as he sheds light on a fascinating industry, one that he has really began to dominate through hard work and innovation. For this episode, I am joined by Justin Smith, a firefighter based just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Justin explains the entire process, from joining Fire School, being hired and what a day in the life looks like for him. We dive into his journey that led to him becoming a FireFighter. After retiring from hockey he decided to take a job with Pepsi. Feeling unfulfilled, Justin gave up his stable employment in pursuit of his passion. He shares an ingenious technique he used in order to find his PURPOSE which led him directly to FireFighting ( his PASSION). Smitty is a great example of not needing to know the exact details of your path, but to have trust in your progress. He identified his core values and decided to reverse engineer the process of finding the career that would bring fulfillment to his days. In this episode, we cover the in's and out's of firefighting, from the atmosphere and the type of individuals you can expect to work alongside to the requirements that need to be met in order to join.
