Lowering the Bar (on purpose)
Lowering the Bar (on purpose)

Claire in a Chair by Claire Whalen

Episode notes

In this episode, I talk about what it really means to slow down and notice the little things — the moments that don’t make it onto your camera roll or your calendar. I’ve realized that most of life happens in the in-between: the hallway laughs, the perfect song that plays at the right time, the coffee that somehow just hits different.

I share why our bar for irritation is so low, and how we can raise our bar for joy instead. With a few real stats about high school stress and happiness, this episode is a reminder that joy doesn’t have to be earned — it’s already here, hiding in the smallest of moments.
