Jason Eslinger, Associate Director, IGHSAU, talks with CISN's Blake Walker

Jason Eslinger joined the IGHSAU in 1997 after serving stints in the sports information offices at Central Connecticut State and Drake University. The Grundy Center native serves in a similar capacity at the IGHSAU and also directs the softball, bowling, and swimming & diving programs. Des Moines Menace Playoff Picture with the Des Moines Society Fan Club's Chris Marshall

The Des Moines Society can be seen and heard at every Menace game, and many other central Iowa soccer games such as Drake and Grandview University. Chris Marshall stands for the full 90 minutes beating her drum to the chants and cheers of the Society, encouraging the home teams and making it rough for the visitors. Justin Vorster and Danny Kotula talk with the Society's figurehead and break down the USL2 playoff picture for the Menace. The Menace begin their run in the playoffs against Kaw Valley FC on Friday July 22 at 7pm Central and can be watched live on the CISNtv Youtube channel. Menace Head Coach Dean Johnson talks with Justin Vorster & Danny Kotula

In his first year as Des Moines Menace Head Coach, Dean Johnson has led the team to the USL2 Deep North Division title. Johnson is also head coach of the DII powerhouse Davis & Elkins in Elkins, West Virginia. Johnson arrived in Elkins following a stint as the head men's and women's soccer coach at Northeast Texas Community College, where he guided the squad to a combined 46-16-3 (.717) mark in three seasons. He handled all aspects of both programs, where he orchestrated nearly a 10-win turnaround on the men's side from 2017 to 2018, which included the program's second National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Tournament appearance in school history. With Johnson as the head coach, the Menace look to continue its streak of seven straight postseason berths. Des Moines has made 18 appearances in the playoffs, including last season’s regular and post season National Championships. Watch the Des Moines Menace live on CISN.tv on Youtube!
