Many people enter marriage waiting for the “other shoe to drop.” We are told the honeymoon phase will fade, that marriage is all downhill, and that disappointment is inevitable. Even within Christian circles, faith is sometimes treated as a guarantee that marriage will work without much effort.
In this episode, we challenge those assumptions.
A healthy marriage does not happen by accident. It is built through intentional choices, humility, and wisdom. While Christian faith shapes our values and identity, it does not automatically provide the skills needed for communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, or emotional connection. Love for God matters deeply, but it must be paired with practical effort and daily work.
