The Price of Silence is Distance.
Your secret isn't as private as you think. Loved ones may not know the "what," but they feel the flatness, the moods, and the missing hours.
Children absorb the "emotional weather." When kids feel trouble but get no explanation, they often conclude it is their own fault.
Isolation produces the rejection you fear. We hide to avoid being left, but the distance we create is what slowly destroys the relationship.
Healing requires being "one body." Just as a hand must signal pain to the body to be treated, we must stop hiding our wounds to let them heal.
Start by ending the new lies. You don't have to tell everyone everything today, but you can stop saying "nothing is wrong"
