Roger Christian is a set decorator who was called upon to work on a new Sci Fi movie. The movie, directed by George Lucas would change the way the world viewed Sci Fi genre movies.
Christian won an Academy Award for his "well aged" look that he gave the sets of "Star Wars, A new Hope."
He also helped in the creation of R2D2 and designed the lightsaber.
He went on to work on Ridley Scott's "Alien." and other films.
A documentary titled. "Galaxy Built on Hope," is based on his autobiography.
