Reid Kirby and Documentary Maker Nick Brigen is a military historian who brings analytical skills to understanding the interface between policy and technology in the Cold War era.

He specializes in the study of Edgewood, a program run by the military involving human research into drugs that could alter the mind.

Lead Scientist of the program was James Ketchum whom Kirby knew. The relationship gave Kirby insight into why Ketchum perfromed the experiments.
