The End is All About Jesus

The Wrath of Jesus

Revelation 6:9-17

The Main Point: We must prepare for the promised wrath of Jesus.

• Persecuted believers cry out for the wrath of Jesus. (vv9-11; Ps 94:1-3, 22-23)
  • God’s wrath is a reason for our praise. (Amos 5:15a; Deut 32:4; Rom 3:23-24; Eph 2:3-5)
• Creation experiences the wrath of Jesus. (vv12-14; Isa 34:2-4; Joel 2:10, 30-31; Ex 32:9-10; Deut 29:23)
  • God’s wrath is a reason for our purity. (2 Pet 3:10-14)
• Sinners hide from the wrath of Jesus. (vv15-17; Isa 34:12)
  • God’s wrath is a reason for our preaching. (Acts 2:20-21; Jn 3:36; 2 Pet 3:9)
