Deep Heaven Band - Artist Sit Down - Boise Art Scene Podcast

Interview with Maxwell Modeen and Joseph Hoisington, the Post-Punk Duo Deep Heaven. This is a much longer interview than I've been doing lately, and I am so excited to share it with you. I got the chance to see the band perform live at the Neurolux on July 12th, and it made me understand their musical vision so much more. Truely live performances of a mesmerizing duet between lead singer and synth.

Blood Lemon Talks Treefort and Women in Music!

Blood Lemon, a mainstay of the Boise scene despite bassist Melanie Radford’s recent move to nearby Seattle, received plenty of praise for their eponymous debut released in the throes of the pandemic. NPR Music, A.V. Club, SPIN, and other outlets of repute lauded their debut that garnered comparisons to other beloved female-fronted influences like Sleater-Kinney and The Breeders. Blood Lemon will play Treefort Music Fest at the Hideout Stage on Sunday, March 30, 2025 in the main ticketed area. And if you listen all the way to the end of this podcast, you'll get to hear about a secret show that Radford will be participating in. https://www.bloodlemonmusic.com/about https://boiseartscene.com/about

Treefort Music Festival 2025 Preview: Boise Folk Musician Jesse Blake Rundle

Jesse Blake Rundle, a songwriter and composer based in Boise, Idaho, has made a career out of creating intricate, authentic folk rock. On his latest album, Next Town’s Trees, he continues expanding musically and lyrically, with songs that reach deep into his emotional core. “I wrote these songs during a time of immense change,” he says. “I was finally leaving the church, uncovering my sexuality, starting my first relationship with a man, finding joy in sobriety and settling into my life as a musician.” Artist Website: https://www.jesseblakerundle.com/ For more episodes, visit: https://www.boiseartscene.com

VLOG 7 | 01/06/25 - Morgan McCollum Alexa Rose Residency at The Common Well

Hi, Morgan McCollum here, documenting my time at The Common Well in Garden City and bringing you along with me. This is the 8th week of documenting my residency. I went downtown this week and switched it up a bit talking about cameras and the obsession many have with tech. It can be paralyzing to think you don't have the right equipment to make what you have in mind, but it's important to not let that stop you from creating. This is a summary of my eighth full week during the second wave of the Alexa Rose Foundation Residency and some of the things that happened during it. https://thecommonwellboise.com/ https://www.alexarosefoundation.org/ I hope you enjoy! #BoiseArtScene #Boise #Documentary View more art and artists: Keep an eye on https://www.BoiseArtScene.com for more!
