Episode notes
In this episode of Blush, we’re stepping behind the velvet curtain of indie author events with Autumn and Desie, the brilliant minds behind Sinful Signings and Crown and Quill.
From organizing signings in sprawling convention spaces to planning a literal castle event, they share what it really takes to create unforgettable experiences for authors and readers alike. We talk event logistics, online community building, inclusivity in the book world, and the delicate art of handling difficult situations without losing your sanity.
Along the way, there are hilarious behind-the-scenes stories, candid conversations about friendship in the indie space, and several moments that perfectly capture the energy of what they lovingly call a “conglomerate of chaos.”
Whether you’re an aspiring event organizer, an indie author, or just someone obsessed with book convention culture, this episode is packed with insight, laughter, and a little beautiful disorder.
