The Back To Normal Episode
Episode notes
WE’RE BACK TO NORMAL! After a little bit of a different schedule, the Blue Collar Sports Podcast is back talking everything happening across the sports world!
College Football: We break down Tennessee vs. Texas and ask the big question—is Arch Manning not as good as expected, or is the Vols defense better than people thought? Florida gets a huge matchup with Ole Miss, but is Florida REALLY a Top 10 team? We also dive into Oregon vs. USC, Dante Moore’s future in college football, what Oregon could look like with Dylan Raiola, and whether this could be Lincoln Riley’s final season at USC.
We also look at some of the biggest surprises of the college football season so far, including Mississippi State starting 4-0 and climbing to No. 16, Kamario Taylor entering the Heisman conversation, Florida reaching the Top 10, and UCLA and Kentucky finding themselves ranked!
NFL: Three weeks are in the books, and there are already plenty of surprises. We discuss the undefeated Bills, Chiefs, Raiders, Vikings, and 49ers, along with the Browns' surprising 2-1 start. On the other side, what’s going on with the Rams, Patriots, and Cowboys at 1-2? And how concerned should fans be about the Buccaneers, Chargers, and Texans starting 0-3?
MLB Playoffs: The Braves take down the Phillies 5-3 behind a huge three-run homer from Austin Riley. We break down the matchup and what it means as the postseason continues.
NBA Media Day: Basketball is BACK! We talk about the 76ers' new BIG FIVE of LeBron James, Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and VJ Edgecombe. Then we look around the league at some of the teams we’re most excited to watch, including the Timberwolves with Melo and Anthony Edwards, Portland with Damian Lillard and Ja Morant, Toronto with Kawhi Leonard and Scottie Barnes, Phoenix with Devin Booker and Jalen Green, and Washington with Anthony Davis, Trae Young, and AJ Dybantsa.
