S3, E42: Sunday Supper, Pt. 2

Back with another Sunday Supper episode, and what a perfect time to have supper, Thanksgiving Week! One thing about Sunday Suppers that I love is all of the different conversations at one table. This episode is about different things, but all of them are connected. The common denominator of all of the situations is the goodness of God. Let's Get Into It!

S3, E41: Did God Break His Promise, pt. 2

We are spinning the block for this episode. We have to take it back to 1 Samuel. There is so much in that book of the Bible we can't condense it in 10 episodes. Special Guest...my growling stomach. I was hungry when I recorded this y'all. Let's Get Into It!

S3, E40: Did God Break His Promise?

It's hard sometimes to remember that God has made you a promise when you are going through the storm. It's even harder when the storm is over, and you are sitting still. What if the promise is not the way He said it would go? What do you do then? Do you stop believing that He is good, or do you try to figure it out yourself? We are going to talk about ALL the things in this episode. Let's Get Into It!

S3, E39: The Haman Effect

Let me say this, when you ask the Lord to come in and have His way then be ready for Him to have His way! We will talk about the Haman effect, but we are also going to talk about trusting the Lord and allowing Him to pursue us, relentlessly. Let's Get Into It!

S3, E38: No More Confirmations (For This Season)

Alright y'all, it got a little personal on here this week. I'm talking about failed relationships, heartbreak, rejection, Moses and Aaron, and so much more. Let's Get Into It!

S3, E37: A Moment of Silence

Tragedy struck my area yesterday, October 19th, 2024. Gun violence and a celebration of life and legacy became an afternoon of loss and mourning. I dedicate this episode to my hometown, Brunswick, GA and surrounding "Low Country" areas. I dedicate this to those who are mourning the loss of family members. I dedicate this to those who are grieving. I dedicate this to those who can't find the answers for the pain and hurt they feel. God is near to those of a broken heart. I dedicate this episode to all of us who understand that sometimes silence is the only form of communication needed in times like these. Let's Get Into It...

S3, E36: Spirit Speak

I like to think of our prayer lives like bowling. We have a target (the pins) and the ball (our prayers) we aim toward the target or focus of our prayers, but it simply doesn't get there. It either goes to the left or the right. This is why we need the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is like the buffers they use for children to keep their bowling ball out of the gutter. With the Holy Spirit, our prayers always hit the target because He makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). We also have to be careful what we say because everything we say is a prayer. Why? Every word spoken is a seed. We must be specific and precise with our prayers. Let's Get Into It!

S3, E35: So, You Don't Have It Altogether

If you are a trauma survivor, then you are going to connect with this episode. Words like relapse, rest, and renew will be used in this episode and you will probably be able to identify with at least one of those words. As a trauma survivor, I am learning there are many layers to restoration. There are hiccups along the way. Realizing that I may never "arrive" until I get to see Jesus is something I am growing to accept daily. Knowing that He loves me with an everlasting love, and He will never leave me nor forsake me is the reassurance and strength I need out here. Let's Get Into It!

S3, E34: Is It A Routine Or A Relationship?

Hurricane Helene did a number on us Georgians, Floridians, and Carolinians...I don't know about anyone else, but it made me question my relationship with the Lord, not in a bad way, but in a "check yourself" way. Is your love for the Lord a routine or a relationship? Even though the question seems rhetorical, it deserves an answer. How will you respond? Today, September 29th my response...whew chile listen to the podcast to find out. Let's Get Into It!

S3, E33: SLOW DOWN!

Many times we try to rush past the "inconvenient" parts of our journey on this thing called Life. But, to be honest, those are the parts that build our character and make us grow into the individuals we need to be to fulfill God's purpose. This is your reminder to slow down, and enjoy these moments of your life. Remember, when we try to circumvent these moments or speed through them we usually end up getting into trouble. Sometimes, the roadblocks and slow downs are for our protection. The delays can be a blessing in disguise. Let's Get Into It!
