The Holy Spirit On Display

In August of 2018 college professor Andrew Torget gave what some have called the worlds longest lecture. The lecture began at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning and went until 11:30 a.m. the following day clocking in at 26 hours and 33 minutes. He had 1,600 power point slides and 500 pages of notes. It was a 14 week course packed into one lecture. In Ancient Greece Target’s lecture might have been just another day at the Areopagus, the Grecian town-square. Acts 17:21 states, “All the Athenians and strangers visiting there used to spend their time in nothing other than telling or hearing something new.” Persuasive speech, lectures, debate, and oratory dominated the ancient Grecian culture.
