Sanctification, the Super Bowl, and God’s Will

Blessed Hope Chapel Treasure Valley Sermon Podcast by Pastor Nick Pinneri

Episode notes

Some people believe this year's Super Bowl will draw more viewers than the Apollo 11 moon landing. Some 125-150 million people tuned in to hear Neil Armstrong say, “One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” Sadly, if this year’s halftime show is anything like those in the past, God will be mocked and sin will be flaunted. As Christians, it breaks our hearts when people rebel against their creator. God hates sin and is a perfect righteous judge, yet His heart and His will is to show off His grace, mercy, and lovingkindness. His will is for His children to walk in holiness. His will is that none would perish but that all would come to repentance. When we live out God’s will, we are like Christ to the world—a city on a hill that cannot be hidden.
