The Sphinx — Water on Stone, and the CIA Document Nobody Was Supposed to Find

February 1991. A Boston University geologist named Robert Schoch walks the enclosure of the Great Sphinx of Giza for the first time. Within twenty minutes, he understands that the mainstream Egyptian chronology is wrong by thousands of years.

The Sphinx enclosure walls are eroded by water. Deep vertical fissures. The diagnostic pattern of sustained heavy rainfall. But Egypt has been hyper-arid for over 5,000 years. Which means the Sphinx was carved long before dynastic Egypt existed.

Independent geologists have confirmed the finding for three decades. Seismic surveys have detected chambers beneath it. Satellite radar in March 2025 claimed vertical shafts extending 2,100 feet down.
