Riku Hayashi thought the watchers were cars.
He was wrong.
By Friday morning, the vehicles have changed, but the pattern has not. Corners, windows, stores, school gates, and hallways still feel covered — only now the watchers have jobs, uniforms, and reasons to be exactly where they are.
A clerk.
A janitor.
A delivery worker.
A person with grocery bags.
Ordinary roles hiding extraordinary attention.
With Emiko’s help, Riku and Sara begin turning fear into evidence. Doctors, school officials, vehicles, Natsume, Kanzaki’s café, Mio’s warning, the questions, the timing — the pieces finally start fitting together.
P.A.T.H. is not only watching.
It is learning.
And if Monday’s “wellness review” is a polite trap, then Riku, Sara, and Emiko will walk into it with open eyes.
