When it’s everyone’s turn

Ever feel like everyone around you is moving forward while you’re still waiting for your turn? In this episode, we’re talking about comparison, different seasons of life, trusting God when things don’t happen when we expect them to, and remembering that social media never shows the full picture. We’ll also talk about the beauty of recognizing the prayers that have already been answered instead of always focusing on what’s still missing. If you’ve been feeling behind lately, I hope this episode reminds you that different doesn’t mean behind. Your story is still unfolding, and God hasn’t forgotten you. This week’s reminder: Think of three things in your life today that you once prayed for. 🤍 STAY CONNECTED ♡ Instagram @KelliMariaPhotography ♡ YouTube Before the Coffee Cools Watch

Learning to Say NO

Learning to Say No: Making Room for What Matters Sometimes the smallest word can be the hardest one to say: no. In this episode of Before the Coffee Cools, we’re talking about people-pleasing, boundaries, burnout, and the guilt that can come with putting yourself first. Learning to say no doesn’t make you selfish. It allows you to protect your time, your energy, and the things that truly matter to you. We’ll talk about why saying no can feel so uncomfortable, how to communicate your boundaries honestly, and how creating space in your life can help you become more present for the things—and people—you genuinely care about. So grab your coffee, slow down for a moment, and ask yourself: What do I need to start saying no to so I can make room for what matters most? 🤍 Before the Coffee Cools is a space to slow down, reflect, and talk about faith, purpose, emotions, and becoming the person God is calling you to be. Grieving the Living

What does it mean to grieve someone who is still alive? In this episode of Before the Coffee Cools, we’re talking about a kind of grief that doesn’t always get recognized: grieving a parent, a friendship, a relationship, a version of someone, or even a future you thought you were going to have. Sometimes the person is still here, but the relationship is gone. And sometimes, the hardest part is knowing that you may never get the closure, apology, or answers you’ve been waiting for. I’m sharing a little of my own experience with grieving my relationship with my father, learning how to process emotions on my own, and eventually learning that healing doesn’t always come from the person who hurt you. We’ll talk about grief, ambiguous loss, closure, emotional healing, learning to understand your emotions, faith, and what it means to keep moving forward while still carrying something that hurt you. Because you don’t need a funeral to experience a loss. And you don’t have to stop loving someone to let them go.

Forgiveness and self-respect are hard choices for adults.

Forgiveness and self-respect are crucial but often conflicting choices in life. While forgiveness is about releasing someone from punishment, self-respect involves setting boundaries to protect oneself from further harm. Both are necessary for healing and maintaining peace, but they require different actions. Understanding the difference between the two can help individuals navigate difficult relationships and make decisions that prioritize their well-being.
