Is Your Mailbox Full? Duplicate Emails May Be the Reason

Your mailbox is full. But why? You delete large attachments, empty the Trash, and remove old newsletters — yet the account still uses much more storage than expected. https://chris786525.substack.com/p/is-your-mailbox-full-duplicate-emails

One Base Currency. Every Rate You Care About.

How much is this amount worth in another currency? That works well when you are preparing for a trip or checking the price of a single purchase. But it becomes cumbersome when several currencies matter to you. https://medium.com/@chris.ahrweiler/one-base-currency-every-rate-you-care-about-f4fa436dede9

One Extractor for Your Archive Files

Archive files should be simple. But in practice, every format seems to want its own tool. https://chris786525.substack.com/p/one-extractor-for-your-archive-files-504

Metal Prices at a Glance — On your Mac

But what if you also want to check silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, copper, aluminum, nickel, lead, and zinc? That usually means opening several websites, dealing with different currencies and units, and trying to compare numbers that were never presented consistently in the first place. https://medium.com/@chris.ahrweiler/metal-prices-at-a-glance-on-your-mac-e808e84ae146

Most Code Edits Don’t Need an IDE

Modern development environments are powerful. They manage repositories, terminals, extensions, debuggers, AI assistants, build systems, and entire codebases. But that is not how every coding task begins. https://medium.com/@chris.ahrweiler/most-code-edits-dont-need-an-ide-163ec4ef299f

How to Share a Screenshot as a Link on Mac

Taking a screenshot on a Mac is easy. Sharing it is not always as straightforward. An image can be pasted directly into Mail, Messages, or many chat applications. But forums, support tickets, project-management systems, and web forms do not always accept images. Even when they do, large attachments can make conversations harder to follow. https://medium.com/@chris.ahrweiler/how-to-share-a-screenshot-as-a-link-on-mac-9b9cd5da80bb

A Fast Unit Converter for Mac, iPhone, and iPad

Converting a unit should take a few seconds. But too often, it means opening a browser, searching for the right conversion, dismissing distractions, and wondering whether the result uses the correct unit. Metric Converter Pro provides a faster and cleaner alternative. https://medium.com/@chris.ahrweiler/a-fast-unit-converter-for-mac-iphone-and-ipad-eaa852b1dae0

What Devices Are Connected to My Mac?

Most USB devices work as soon as you connect them. A drive appears in Finder, a keyboard starts typing, and a printer becomes available. But macOS usually does not show how these devices are connected. https://medium.com/@chris.ahrweiler/what-devices-are-connected-to-my-mac-005cd789d366

A Calmer, Clearer EMDR Experience

selfEMDR has a new interface designed around one central idea: the visual stimulus should remain the focus. The updated layout brings the controls together at the bottom of the screen, keeps the stimulation area open, and makes personal adjustments easier to understand before starting. https://medium.com/@chris.ahrweiler/a-calmer-clearer-emdr-experience-ffc88c4c3a95

Clean and Compress PDF Files on Mac

A PDF may contain more information than the pages you can see. Titles, author names, subjects, keywords, creator applications, and other metadata can remain embedded in a document — even after you rename the file or export a new copy. https://medium.com/@chris.ahrweiler/clean-and-compress-pdf-files-on-mac-93a6e3925f9d
