Episode notes
This week on Back to the Prairie: For the First Time, we welcome back one of Walnut Grove’s most memorable—and complicated—characters: Isaiah Edwards.
Jen remembers Mr. Edwards as one of the original characters who made Little House on the Prairie so special. Dirk is meeting him again with fresh eyes—and wondering whether this larger-than-life, rough-around-the-edges pioneer is really as simple as he first appeared.
We’ll break down the episode’s biggest moments, explore the real-world history behind the story, dig into Mr. Edwards’ backstory, uncover some trivia, and take a look at what was happening in the real world when this episode aired in 1974.
It’s a story about friendship, second chances, and discovering that sometimes the hardest place to return to… is home.
Welcome back to Walnut Grove. It’s time to head Back to the Prairie.
