In this clip, Prof Sherief Khalifa, the Dean of the college of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a Fulbright scholar and a professor who studied and worked in 5 countries across 3 continents, highlights an important challenge stemming from academia and affecting careers of the pharmacy workforce now and in the future particularly in the Middle East region but also worldwide.

He also points out why pharmacy colleges should partner with industry experts who may not necessarily hold a PhD in order to teach students and the importance of experiential learning.
