Season 1

Episode 8 - Christmas!

Explicit
Merry Christmas everyone!! In this episode I tell a story about being a young me, full of dumb and overexcited about presents. I talk about some of the bad aspects of the holiday for folks that deal with depression or have lost family and friends. I mention a few lesser known Christmas facts. And I inadvertently break into reenacting of my favorite moment in any Christmas movie.

Episode 7 - Storytime

Explicit
In this episode I tell a few stories that illustrate different ways of taking actions to change the world. The first story is a look back at one evening I had as a Guardian Angel, and how my partner and I were able to change the course of a young girls life. The second story is a listener submitted story that details briefly what it means to love yourself despite abuse and neglect. And the third story is about one of the greatest gifts and kindnesses I've ever received. A gift that changed my life forever.

Episode 6 - "The Main Character"

Explicit
In this episode I discuss "Main Character Syndrome". What is it? And how is it affecting people in good and bad ways? I also discuss some of my stances on some of my favorite pop culture properties and how they tie in to main character thinking....if you're a Ferris Bueller fan...this one is for you. (Note: I did have a bit of a sound issue and it required some re-recording and editing tricks, so please be patient with me as I continue to try and figure it all out)

Episode 5 - Self Love

Explicit
In this episode we talk about the concept and importance of self love. I read our first ever listener submitted letter (a great one). And I give a few ideas and suggestions for really practicing loving yourself. I also detail my favorite exercise to truly figure out how to appreciate your strengths.

Episode 4 - Empathy

Explicit
In this episode I discuss the meaning of empathy and how it is both a blessing and a curse for some empaths. I talk about the different types of empathy and give methods for trying to exercise and strengthen your empathic abilities. And, of course, we have our usual quotes. This episode just scratches the surface of the topic, and I still ran over by 15 minutes. It's a weighty topic.

Episode 3 - Kindness

In this episode we discuss the basic concepts of kindness and how it has been woefully understudied until recently. We illustrate the difference between "Nice" and "Kind", and we give few ideas on how to be consciously kind to people in your life.

Episode 2 - Honesty

In this episode we discuss one of the 3 "pillars" that people can begin to work on to make themselves and the people around them better and happier. We discuss just how important honesty is in everyday life. We give some ideas for how to cultivate and grow a better ability to be honest.

A pebble in a pond - Introduction
