From her early days in Wichita, Kansas, where she first learned the importance of hope, faith, and high expectations from her family, Amber has dedicated her life to building environments where individuals are seen for their potential rather than their shortcomings … insisting that every person has unique talents waiting to be discovered and nurtured.

AIP 2413 - Mike Hatcher

Mike Hatcher’s journey began in Sevierville, TN. Inspired by a love of learning and an early work ethic, Mike embraced setbacks as stepping stones, and those experiences set the stage for a future he could not have imagined. Leaning into the strength of partners and teams, he grew ventures that would touch lives and build communities … ultimately co-founding Hatcher-Hill Properties, which has totally transformed Knoxville, TN’s landscape. Mike’s journey to entrepreneurial success is a wonderful testament to the Power of Possibility.

Damon Rawls’ inspiring journey began in Montgomery, Alabama, where his fascination with people sparked an interest in social sciences. Although he earned a finance degree at Alabama A&M, his innate curiosity led him to a transformative internship at Disney, where he honed his problem-solving and decision-making skills. Embracing entrepreneurial challenges, Damon founded a commercial cleaning company before channeling his passion for service into public leadership. Today, as a Knox County Commissioner in Tennessee, Damon uses his diverse experiences and hopeful spirit to make a meaningful impact in his community.

Joey Tack’s journey began in seventh grade, when he first fell in love with radio’s magic and felt its powerful connection. That spark carried him from small-town talent shows and teenage DJ gigs through a determined rise in broadcasting, taking him from late-night shifts in the Midwest to major on-air roles. When he and his Knoxville-born wife struggled with life in the Midwest, destiny called: WIVK in Knoxville offered Joey a spot. Today, he co-hosts one of America’s top country morning shows, bringing his story full circle and inspiring others just as radio once inspired him.

Nancy Barker’s life is a shining example of embracing opportunity and living with open-hearted optimism … saying “Yes” to Possibility. From her early years riding horses with her mom, to earning her aviation degree and flying as a commercial pilot like her father, Nancy has always met new challenges with courage and joy. She channeled that spirit into founding successful ventures such as Barger’s Beer Truck, Swank Floral and The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm, turning life’s curveballs into new beginnings. Now, as co-host of "Joey & Nancy in the Morning" on WIVK, Nancy continues to inspire others to say “Yes” to opportunities and Possibility.

George and Michelle Solomon’s inspiring journey began in their basement, where George and his partner, Mark built the foundation of Vacuum Technology, Inc. (VTI) while Michelle’s income kept the Solomon family afloat. Despite setbacks and countless cold calls, their shared faith and perseverance transformed their humble beginnings into a thriving $30 million company. Now, as they prepare to pass the VTI reins onto their daughter and son-in-law, the Solomons’ story is a beautiful example of how Resilience, Love, Family and Faith can lead to Limitless Possibilities.

George and Michelle Solomon began Vacuum Technology, Inc. #VTI with nothing but hope, faith, and extraordinary courage. Investing every penny of their own—and all of George's mom's life savings—plus borrowing from every living relative, they bravely risked everything for their dream. With little more than an idea, optimism, and a belief that Anything is Possible, they turned those sacrifices into a thriving company. They recently celebrated VTI's 40th anniversary—a testament to the power of Vision, Resilience, Family Support and Faith.

Denise Dean’s story is one of perseverance and purpose. From overcoming tough times and searching for meaning, to learning life’s lessons, whether through service at a Drug Rehab Center or her work at IBM, every step prepared her for something greater. Drawing on all she had learned, Denise founded East Tennessee Freedom Schools, where her passion for education and service empowers children and college students to discover their own purpose. Her journey shows how every experience can lead to creating something truly impactful for others.
