Reality Checks with Staci-lee: Heber Wild Horses

All About Animals by All About Animals Radio

Episode notes

The Heber Wild Horse Herd in Arizona is unique because they truly live wild and free. They have been free from roundups, free from being sent to slaughter and free from being experimented on with fertility drugs PZP and Gonacon. Under pressure from ranchers the Forest Service plans to roundup most of this herd and use drugs on the few remaining. End goal is removal of all horses with most going to foreign slaughter houses. These are federally protected horses that belong to all of us. Listen to their story and how you can save them.
