The Cure Chronicles: HIV with Guy Anthony
Explicit
This episode of The Cure Chronicles Podcast features Guy Anthony, a dedicated HIV/AIDS activist, community leader, and author. Since his diagnosis, Guy has dedicated his life to neutralizing HIV and AIDS-related stigma. He released a book called Pos(+)tively Beautiful – a collection of affirmations for people living with HIV – and is also the Founder of the Black, Gifted & Whole Foundation – a two-fold intermediary organization providing scholarships to mobilize Black, queer men attending HBCU’s. Formerly part of DC’s Ryan White Planning Council, Guy oversaw funding for HIV support programs and contributed to AIDS.gov and POZ.com. Through his #POZTALK summit and #POZ-ONLY advocate dinners, Guy worked to foster age-inclusive, interclass discussion to mobilize the Black, queer community and celebrate the multi-faceted identities of its members. Today, Guy continues his mission in Brooklyn, New York. He is currently working to expand Black, Gifted & Whole into international markets as well as to raise funding for the Wanda Alstron foundation – a housing program for homeless and at-risk LGBTQ+ youth. He has also since launched GROVER New York – a line of affordable fine leather unisex messenger bags – which he describes as a “love letter to Black luxury”.Follow Guy Anthony on social media:Twitter: @IAMGUYANTHONY |LinkedIn: @Guy Anthony |Instagram: @iamguyanthhony |Apple Music: @Guy-Anthony |About Addimmune:Addimmune is a clinical-stage, gene therapy company in Rockville, Maryland.
