#04 - self-love

"self-love", is definitely a topic that has gained importance over the past few years, and it's less seen as "being selfish or a bad person". i feel like now, it's even something that is rather cool and attractive. but that doesn't make it easy, actually, i think it's one of those "easier said than done" situations. it doesn't happen over night and it takes time and a process of working on things that we are often not used to work on. it's about prioritizing yourself even when you don't want to, it's about spending time with yourself, even if you have other plans... well, i hope you enjoy this episode and the topic, and if you want to chat about it, dm on instagram at @dabeestudio :) kisses from the attic, byeee, have a great day, afternoon, night, whatever the rest of the day you’ve got. xoxo

#03 - social media is taking away real-life communication

Explicit
social media is replacing in many ways real life communication. we see how people are doing because of what they are sharing and posting and we think that we already know about them, but do we really? we love to say that social media is not real life, so when was the last time that you checked on someone by calling/texting them instead of checking their feed? communicating also includes sharing how you feel about someone, now we can double tap and say that we liked something or we can react with yellow circles with expressions on them to say that something made you laugh or cry, and we do those things because it's easier and quicker, but really, how can that communicate how you really feel? there's no harm in taking a few more minutes to instead text that person, and i am sure, they are very much going to appreciate it. kisses from the attic, byeee, have a great day, afternoon, night, whatever the rest of the day you’ve got. xoxo

#02 - problems and running out of excitement

we all deal with problems/troubles/complications/setbacks at some point. some seasons in life we get them more often and others they happen more spontaneously. but we all deal with them. no matter how big they are or how insignificant they can be for other people, they are a problem for us, but how we deal with them, how we face them is really the key to how we go through them, not just skipping them and pretending they are not real, but facing them and trying to see the bigger picture. i could keep going about this topic and the tricks and techniques that help me deal with tougher seasons, so maybe there will be part two, let's see how you respond to this first one. kisses from the attic, byeee, have a great day, afternoon, night, whatever the rest of the day you’ve got. xoxo

#01 - intro attempt

hiiii! this is my first attempt recording a podcast on my phone, sitting on my couch petting my dog. i even wrote down how i wanted to start this but then i pressed the "record" button and i didn’t even read the first word so i guess that’s why it’s a bit of a chaos. a bit of this and a bit of that. me speaking my mind out. this is as real as it gets, not recording it twice because it’s not perfect. well, it’s the first one, i am not at a pro at it, hopefully they will get better as i keep going. you know, at least i tried. well, i hope you enjoy this first episode/introduction. kisses from the attic, byeee, have a great day, afternoon, night, whatever the rest of the day you’ve got. xoxo
