In our final episode, Katie and I reflect on the highs and lows of my music journey so far. We talk about the lessons I've learned - not just in music, but in life - and what I'm hoping for as I look ahead. It's a mix of gratitude, excitement, and a bit of uncertainty, but that's all part of the adventure!
From running the DeciBelles to managing two jobs, coursework, and everyday life, I've been learning how to keep up with the tempo of it all. Katie and I chat about the challenges of staying balanced, prioritising what matters, and finding time for creativity amidst the chaos.
Starting from scratch in a room full of experienced musicians can be daunting. We laugh (and commiserate) about my journey of catching up with music theory, how my self-taught background has both helped and hindered me, and the tips and resources I've found along the way. This one's for anyone who's ever felt out of their depth!
Life as a master's student is a balancing act, and this episode is all about how I'm making it work. Katie and I talk honestly about juggling tight finances, the pressures of leadership in my A Cappella group, and how I'm learning to manage everything without burning out (too much).
