Episode notes

The Fort Hood killer's firing squad will be public. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told Real America's Voice that when Nidal Hasan, who murdered 13 people and wounded 32 at Fort Hood in 2009, faces an Army firing squad on December 3, "we'll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it's public, because people need to understand that there's serious consequences for these types of things," per CBS News. The Pentagon told the Associated Press the execution will be livestreamed, though it has not said where. Axios notes the last public execution in this country was a hanging in Kentucky in 1936, about 90 years ago. Thirteen dead, 32 wounded, 17 years of appeals. Some will call a public execution barbaric. The families might call it the first time anybody showed them the justice they were promised. Chuck reads the secretary's words, as reported by Breitbart News and CBS News.
