WORSHIP AS EXTREMISM: The FBI Listed the Latin Mass
Episode notes
A federal agency put a form of worship on a list of possible indicators of domestic extremism. The traditional Latin Mass. Opposition to abortion. Conservative family values. A "rejection of modernity." That is not a rumor and it is not a talking point. It is the FBI's own January 2023 Richmond memo, and the Justice Department's Weaponization Working Group has now put on the record what the Bureau did next: agents opened assessments on two Catholic priests, pulled their travel and their contacts, and closed both investigations having found no connection to criminal activity or violent extremism. Attorney General Todd Blanche: "This Department of Justice will not tolerate a weaponized bureaucracy that chills First Amendment activity." Ask yourself what list you are on.
