Season 1
I whole-heartedly believe that Imaginext is one of those toylines that adult collectors wish existed when we were kids. Big bold designs, great gimmicks, Imaginext captures all the fun that toys are supposed to be while making the figures themselves so unique that they are definitely collectible. As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoysYoutube - https://www.youtube.com/@2guystalkintoys
If you’re a collector you’ve probably seen this battle raging across the Internet forums. 3.75” vs 6” collectors, with fans of alternative scales commenting on the sidelines. What’s the superior scale? IS there a superior scale? As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoysYoutube - https://www.youtube.com/@2guystalkintoys
This past Friday Hasbro held its version of Botcon and Toyfair all rolled into one, Hasbro Pulsecon! There were a lot of great reveals and a ton a great product going up for preorder. Dana was not able to watch and Tom was, so join us as we recap and get some new impressions! As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoysYoutube - https://www.youtube.com/@2guystalkintoys
Sidekicks have always had a way of boosting the status of a superhero and increasing the play appeal of a toyline. Join Tom and Dana as we discuss sidekicks and their representation (and sometimes lack thereof) in the toy world. As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoysYoutube - https://www.youtube.com/@2guystalkintoys
With the completion of one Haslab (Ahsoka’s ship The Ghost) and the start of another (Marvel’s Giant Man), Crowdfunding is becoming a more familiar mainstay for collectors. More and more collectors are becoming familiar with toymakers using crowdfunding sites like Kickstartter and Indiegogo to provide them with new toys they would otherwise have never seen.Today Tom and Dana discuss the different crowdfunding experiences we’ve had and how both the fandom and toy manufacturers may view it a little differently. As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoysYoutube - https://www.youtube.com/@2guystalkintoys
I feel pretty confident in saying that most collectors that came up in the 90s had their fair share of Toybiz figures. From Batman to Spider-Man to Xena, Toybiz really covered a wide spectrum of toys that probably appealed to most of us in some way shape or form. In this episode Tom & Dana discuss their experience collecting Toybiz and its journey from basic 5 POA to its hyper-joint fixation in its later years. As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoysYoutube - https://www.youtube.com/@2guystalkintoys
This episode was recorded last week, but we wanted to take a moment to express that we are extremely saddened to have lost two greats in the wrestling world this week. Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt were taken from us too soon. Rest in Peace. From as far back as the current crop of collectors can remember, wrestling has been a staple in our lives and one of the main methods of play when we were younger. WWF, AWA, NWA, WCW, all these federations (and many more) probably produced a lot of influence on our imaginary conflict. In this episode Tom & Dana discuss wrestling, wrestling figures, and how far they’ve come since bursting onto the action figure scene in the early 1980s.As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think, let's get talkin'!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoys
Welcome… to the future! For years 3D sculpting and printing has been slowly becoming more familiar and more accessible to the public, more specifically, toy collectors. Replacement parts, add-on kits, character conversion selections, the possibilities are endless. The idea that we can now literally design, sculpt and print a fully functional action figure is amazing, and something that we’ve only scratched the surface of.As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think, let's get talkin'!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoysYoutube - https://www.youtube.com/@2guystalkintoys
MORE T.U.R.T.L.E POWAH!Tom and Dana just barely got going in the discussion about Ninja Turtles so we’re continuing it in Part II!As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think, let's get talkin'!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoysYoutube - https://www.youtube.com/@2guystalkintoys
T.U.R.T.L.E POWAH!TMNT is what I consider one of the longest running most popular toylines in collector history. Tom and Dana discuss the early years of the toyline but we haven’t even scratched the surface! As always, we encourage you to join in the conversation and let us know what you think, let's get talkin'!Twitter - https://twitter.com/2guystalkintoysYoutube - https://www.youtube.com/@2guystalkintoys
