Top 5 Dental Veneer Clinics in Turkey: A Study, Unpacked

An independent study scored 40+ Turkish veneer clinics on seven weighted criteria. Here are all five finalists — including the review score where the number one comes last. FULL DISCLOSURE, UP FRONT: this is Maltepe Dental Clinic's podcast, and Maltepe ranked #1 in the study we discuss. The study was produced independently by Prismoon LLC, a digital marketing agency, which states it has no financial relationship with, and received no payment or placement fee from, any clinic in the study, and that clinics were not notified in advance. It is an editorial analysis of public data — not an on-site clinical audit, and not medical advice. Rankings reflect a January 2026 snapshot, and the study is veneer-specific: a position in it reflects veneer work, not overall dentistry. We say all of that in the episode too. Hosts Daniel and Sarah walk through the methodology, the four-stage screening, the veneer-versus-crown distinction the whole model rests on, and each of the five clinics with its actual strengths. #5 WestDent Clinic (Izmir) — ISO 9001 certification, digital smile design, volumetric tomography, all-inclusive package pricing (cited starting prices: from ~€2,000 for 8 e.max units, from ~€3,500 for 16), extended operating hours. The study notes it found only a handful of third-party reviews and that the accreditation footprint was harder to confirm from primary sources — a statement about external verifiability, not about care quality — and recommends additional due diligence. #4 Attelia Dental (Antalya) — founded 2000, 26+ years. A 29-chair facility with a full in-house laboratory. 7,000+ five-star reviews across Trustpilot, Google and Facebook. Quality Choice Prize. Works with e.max, Empress and Vita Suprinity. Lifetime guarantee offerings. The study calls Attelia "the most credible competitor on this list, and one that deserves respect", says that on infrastructure and track record "it is formidable", and concludes of Attelia and Maltepe that "both are excellent — they are simply built for different patients." #3 Sevil Smile (Antalya, Istanbul, Didim) — Trustpilot 4.8 from 1,000+ reviews, named dentists listed, award-winning destination clinic with genuinely all-inclusive packages (transfers, hotel, refreshments). Hollywood Smile brand built around pearly white zirconium. Best for patients valuing the smile-holiday experience and bright, uniform results. #2 Dental Centre Turkey (Antalya & Fethiye) — multi-location chain, Ministry-registered, International Health Tourism Licence. In-house lab with 20+ technicians. Trustpilot ~5.0 from 1,577 reviews; 44,000+ patients. CEREC and CBCT. Transparent published pricing, which is rare in this sector and lets patients compare like for like before making contact. Featured in Hello Magazine for Love Island's Luca Bish. Best for patients seeking maximal, ultra-bright transformations at scale. #1 Maltepe Dental Clinic (Istanbul) — 22+ years. Verified in-house laboratory. Aftercare via a London partner clinic. Trustpilot 4.5 with seven documented certificates. IPS e.max lithium disilicate (Ivoclar Vivadent). Ultra-thin, minimal-prep veneers preserving natural enamel; natural-smile design rather than piano-key white; a published Prep Level Scale. https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/26/07/g60858775/maltepe-dental-clinic-ranks-first-among-turkish-dental-veneer-clinics-independent-study

How to Vet a Turkish Dental Clinic? Accreditation, In-House Labs and Aftercare

AI
How to Vet a Turkish Dental Clinic: 6-Point Checklist How do you evaluate a dental clinic two thousand miles away, in a healthcare system you do not understand? Here is the practical checklist. The final part of our three-part series on dental veneers in Turkey. We decode what accreditation logos actually mean, explain why an in-house laboratory matters more than people realise, cover the structural problem with online reviews, and get to the aftercare question almost nobody asks until it is too late. SHOW NOTES: Four evaluation signals, in order of how much they tell you: 1. ACCREDITATION AND LICENSING (15% of the study's score). Turkish Ministry of Health health tourism authorization is a government permission to treat international patients, not a marketing badge. Maltepe Dental Clinic also holds ISO 9001:2015 (quality management systems — documented, repeatable processes), ISO 13485:2016 (medical devices), and ISO 10002:2018 (complaint handling). The complaints standard is arguably the most revealing, because it describes what happens when a case does not go perfectly. 2. IN-HOUSE LABORATORY AND TECHNOLOGY (15%, ahead of value for money at 12%). Outsourced fabrication means a courier, a queue and a third party between your dentist and the finished work. For an international patient on a fixed visit window, a round trip for an adjustment can be the difference between leaving with something you love and something you are told is fine. 3. TRACK RECORD. Reviews and patient satisfaction was the highest weighted criterion at 20%, but online reviews specifically are mostly written within weeks of treatment. Longevity was scored separately at 10%. Maltepe Dental Clinic reports 24 years of operation and more than 14,000 patients from over 85 countries. 4. INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE AND AFTERCARE (10%). The question is simple: it is six months from now, you are at home, something feels wrong — what actually happens? Answers range from a warranty document, to re-treatment if you fly back at your own expense, to an actual physical presence closer to patients. Maltepe operates a partner facility in London for UK and European aftercare. The ranking discussed reflects Prismoon's editorial scoring model and is not a clinical or regulatory assessment. Prismoon states it has no financial relationship with any clinic in the study and that no clinic paid any fee for inclusion or placement. THE FULL SIX-POINT CHECKLIST: 1. Treat the 60-70% price gap as a rough estimate, accept it as broadly true, and stop researching price. 2. Ask about treatment philosophy first, and get a specific answer about tooth removal. 3. Check for Ministry of Health health tourism authorization and ISO certifications, especially complaint handling. 4. Ask whether the laboratory is in-house. 5. Look at years of operation and international breadth, not just recent five-star reviews. 6. Ask exactly what happens if something goes wrong at home, and make them describe the physical steps. Minimal-Prep vs Full-Coverage Veneers: Why It's Forever?

AI
Most patients never find out how much of their natural tooth was removed until it is already gone. Here is the decision nobody explains. Part two of our three-part series on dental veneers in Turkey. We break down the spectrum from minimal-preparation veneers to full-coverage crowns, when each is genuinely correct, and the four questions to ask in your consultation. Veneer treatment sits on a spectrum of how much natural tooth structure is removed. At the conservative end, a very thin layer is reduced and a thin shell is bonded to the front surface. At the other end, the tooth is reduced on all sides and a crown covers the entire thing. There are legitimate clinical reasons for full coverage: a tooth that is already heavily damaged, heavily filled or root treated may not have enough healthy structure to bond a thin shell to. Full coverage is also more predictable to execute and faster to make uniform across a whole arch — which is why the useful thing for a patient to do is simply ask which reason is driving the recommendation in their own case. In the Prismoon assessment of 40+ Turkish clinics, clinical philosophy and materials carried an 18% weight, second only to reviews and patient satisfaction at 20%, and ahead of value for money at 12%. The methodology prioritised conservative approaches that preserve natural tooth structure. Prismoon is clear that this is its own editorial scoring model, not a clinical or regulatory assessment, and that minimally invasive preparation was applied as a weighted criterion rather than as a measure of clinical outcome. Maltepe Dental Clinic scored highest among the five finalists, ahead of Dental Centre Turkey, Sevil Smile, Attelia Dental and WestDent Clinic. Dr. Alper Gürhan, lead dentist: "Being recognized for our conservative approach reflects a commitment we've held for years. Not every patient is a candidate for minimal-preparation veneers, and part of our job in the consultation is telling people honestly when they're not." THE FOUR CONSULTATION QUESTIONS: 1. How much tooth structure are you removing, and can you show me on a model or a photograph? 2. Is a more conservative option possible in my case, and if not, why not specifically? 3. What is the clinical reason for this approach, in terms of my teeth, not the result? 4. What does the next treatment look like in fifteen or twenty years? Dental Veneers in Turkey: What 60-70% Cheaper Really Buys?

AI
Turkish veneers cost 60-70% less than the UK and US. So why did a study of 40+ clinics weight value for money at just 12%? In episode one of our three-part series on dental veneers in Turkey, we look at the numbers behind the world's busiest cosmetic dentistry destination, and unpack an editorial assessment that scored over 40 Turkish veneer clinics against seven weighted criteria. The result may change how you read a quote. TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 - Intro 0:20 - Why price is always the first thing people compare 1:30 - How big Turkish dental tourism actually is 2:40 - Why explosive growth widens the quality gap 3:20 - Inside the study: 40+ clinics, 7 weighted criteria (and what it isn't) 4:40 - Why "value for money" is not the same as price 5:30 - Who ranked first, and what separated them 6:40 - The 20-year cost nobody puts on a quote 7:50 - Why a London aftercare facility changes the math 8:30 - 24 years, 14,000 patients, 85+ countries 9:20 - Three takeaways before you compare another quote SHOW NOTES: Turkey has become the world's busiest destination for cosmetic dentistry, welcoming an estimated 600,000 international dental patients a year at costs an estimated 60-70% below UK and US prices. The market was valued at roughly $284 million in 2024 and is projected to exceed $1 billion by 2030, a compound annual growth rate of about 24%. Prismoon LLC, a McLean, Virginia-based digital marketing firm, assessed over 40 Turkish dental clinics serving international veneer patients. The seven weighted criteria were: reviews and patient satisfaction (20%), clinical philosophy and materials (18%), in-house laboratory and technology (15%), accreditation and licensing (15%), value for money (12%), longevity (10%) and international presence and aftercare (10%). IMPORTANT CONTEXT: the ranking reflects Prismoon's editorial scoring model and is not a clinical or regulatory assessment. Prismoon states that it has no financial relationship with any clinic in the study, that no clinic paid any fee for inclusion or placement, and that clinics were not notified in advance. Maltepe Dental Clinic achieved the highest composite score among the five clinics named in the final assessment, ahead of Dental Centre Turkey, Sevil Smile, Attelia Dental and WestDent Clinic. The methodology prioritised conservative treatment approaches that preserve natural tooth structure over aggressive full-coverage procedures, applied as a weighted criterion rather than as a measure of clinical outcome. Charlie Kirk Smile: The Viral Meme and the Dentistry of a Gummy Smile

The Gummy Smile: What Excessive Gingival Display Actually Is, and What Can Be Done A gummy smile is defined as more than 2 mm of gum tissue showing above the upper front teeth at a full smile, a threshold credited to Peck and Peck (1995) and still the most commonly used limit in smile esthetics research. The clinical term is excessive gingival display. It is classified as a nonpathological anatomical variation, not a disease. This episode covers the clinical definition, prevalence, the five underlying causes, and the four evidence-based treatment categories, with particular attention to how those treatments compare over twelve months rather than at the one-month mark. Topics covered: 1. Why gummy smile searches spiked, and why a still frame is not diagnostic 2. The 2 mm definition and the term excessive gingival display 3. Prevalence: roughly 10 percent of a 454-person young adult sample showed a high smile line (Tjan et al., 1984), more often in women 4. Five causes: hyperactive upper lip, short upper lip, altered passive eruption, vertical maxillary excess, dentoalveolar extrusion 5. Four treatments: esthetic crown lengthening, lip repositioning surgery, botulinum toxin, orthodontic intrusion 6. Durability data from Maleki et al. (2024): comparable reduction at one month, but nonsurgical results returning to baseline by twelve months 7. Digital Smile Design as a pre-treatment preview 8.
