Qualified by God

There will be moments when you question whether you are good enough, prepared enough, experienced enough, or qualified enough for what God has called you to do. But here's the truth: God does not always call the qualified—He qualifies the called. People may look at your past and tell you what you cannot do. They may judge your mistakes, your failures, your background, or the seasons when you struggled. But God sees something beyond your history. He sees your purpose. “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.” — 2 Corinthians 3:5 (KJV) Moses didn't feel qualified. David was overlooked. Jeremiah felt too young. Gideon saw himself as the least. Peter had failures in his past. Yet God still called them. Why? Because the assignment was never dependent upon their perfection. It was dependent upon God's power. Sometimes we spend so much time trying to convince ourselves that we're qualified that we miss the fact that God already chose us for the assignment. GOD WILL QUALIFY YOU FOR WHAT HE CALLS YOU TO DO. He will teach you what you don't know. He will strengthen you where you're weak. He will develop you through the process. He will surround you with what you need. He will close doors that don't belong to you and open doors that do. And He will give you grace for the assignment. Don't disqualify yourself because of what God has already forgiven. Don't allow people's opinions to override God's calling. Don't confuse being prepared with being perfect. You may not know everything yet—but God knows exactly what He placed inside of you. Come expecting God to remind you that your qualification does not come from people's approval, your résumé, your past, or your circumstances. Your sufficiency comes from Him. QUALIFIED BY GOD! I may not have been qualified by man, but I've been chosen by God. I may not know everything, but I know Who called me. And if God called me— He will equip me, strengthen me, and carry me through!
