YinzCenter's Sorta Penguins Off-Season Preview + Steelers Schedule

First off, what is that last eight week of the Steelers schedule? Brutal. We break down the Pittsburgh pro football schedule and what to expect for the year before training camp begins and we take a look at what the Penguins have on their plate for the off season. Is there a YinzCenter curse? Last week we complimented the USA sled hockey team's recent dominance, the Timberwolves and Val Nichuskin of the Colorado Avalanche. Since then, USA sled hockey lost to Canada for the first time in years, the Timberwolves now trail 3-2 after being up 2-0 in their series, and Val Nichuskin is back in the NHL's Player Assistance Program serving a 6+ month suspension 😬

YinzCenter Presents: Paul Skenes Debut: Will Nevin Rizz Up Livvy Dunne?

Esplicito
The most anticipated Pittsburgh Pirates prospect since Gerrit Cole, Paul Skenes, is set to make his MLB debut on Saturday against the Chicago Cubs and that is pretty much the only Pittsburgh sports news that is worthy of headlines right now. We discuss that, who has impressed us so far in the NHL playoffs, touch base with the NBA postseason, and we get ready for our first ever fantasy football dynasty rookie draft in this week's episode of YinzCenter.

YinzCenter Presents: Nevin's Birthday Episode!

Esplicito
YinzCenter celebrates Nevin's birthday (May 1) with a lovely medley, reviewing some of the most brutal crimes in Greensburg's history, and discussing how badly the Pirates suck right now. Do you know someone who would make a great guest on our show? Please feel free to reach out and we'll be glad to see what we can make work!

Penguins Sled Hockey Brings Home Silver + NFL Draft, NHL & NBA Playoff Preview

Esplicito
Nevin and the Pittsburgh Penguins sled hockey team returned home from their National Championship tournament with a well-earned silver medal. Nev gives the full breakdown on that before we jump into a sudden rush of sports action with playoffs kicking off, NFL draft buzz at ridiculous levels and the Pirates...being the Pirates.

2023-24 Penguin's Season Recap - We Get Nothing. We Lose. Good day sir!

Frankly we really thought we were going to get at least one round of Penguin playoff hockey in during our first year of YinzCenter, but with the Red Wings and Capitals both winning their respective game last night, we begin to break down the ugly reality in front of Mr. Dubas and the Pittsburgh Penguins organization as while we believe change is needed, with all of these players with No-Movement-Clauses, how can the Penguins realistically change for next year? The first round pick goes to San Jose, maybe Carolina's could be had at 31 or 32 if they advance to their first cup since 2006, but that pick won't help next year's team. There will most certainly be more speculation on this front as the NHL playoffs roll on without Pittsburgh again. We take a look into the Pirates as things begin to skid against the Mets in the Big Apple, why the closer "controversy" seems to be silenced, and the slate against Fenway Sports Group's Red Sox and Milwaukee. We also Remember When an ex-Greensburg police chief was doing "Breaking Bad"-ish stuff.

YinzCenter: This is the NHL Playoffs for the Penguins

This week, the YinzCenter boys discuss the do-or-die Penguins final four regular season games, the possibly brewing Pirate closer "controversy" and Nevin brings you a sled hockey update. We also remember when the Penguins played the Red Wings in other pivotal moments in history.

YinzCenter Presents: A Lot of Floods

While rising waters are all the rage across western Pennsylvania, the Pens and Buccos are simultaneously hot inspiring hope in the YinzCenter boys. We finally get to call some type of play while we record and Nevin is amazed by John Wayne and Lyndon B. Johnson.

YinzCenter's Buccos vs MLB Season Preview

Esplicito
Can you believe we are dropping episodes on MLB Opening Day? We can't! We break down how we think the Pirates fare against the rest of the MLB. We are intrigued by the new NFL kickoff rule and the Penguins are still in 7th place in the Metro division.

YinzCenter Presents: Check Out the Duquesne Dukes 👀

The big college basketball tournament has just begun and the 11th seeded Duquesne Dukes have already moved on to the second round before the boys could bring you their brackets. Nevin's Duquesne fever is intensifying by the second as he has picked the Dukes to win it all in his bracket. We bring plenty of bracket talk this week, we embrace the tank as we start breaking down who is worse than the Penguins currently, and the Steelers have a completely new quarterback room. Don't listen to the "insiders", listen to the Yinziders of YinzCenter

YinzCenter: Here We Go

On this week's episode of YinzCenter, the boys catch up on the wild week of Pittsburgh sports as the Penguins look to righten the ship for one last playoff gasp after a win on the Jagr bobblehead VOUCHER night. The Steelers are making moves that are making waves and a couple of local college basketball teams are looking to punch their ticket to the big championship playoff event, Nevin also brings you some sled hockey talk and really obscure history, I think.
