The purpose of the book of Hebrews is to motivate us to persevere in the faith, to keep on following Jesus! Do not grow weary or fainthearted, even when the rest of the world around us is in crazy chaos. Continue living the faith! Hebrews 13 emphasizes how we are to live the Christian ethic in a world gone mad! What does that look like? What ethics do we live by? Hebrews 13 affords us five formative ethics for the Christian: Christians love well; honor marriage; understand contentment; enjoy security; respond to authority. This morning’s focus will address the second one: honor marriage.
