The book of Hebrews is meant to motivate us to persevere in the faith, to keep on following Jesus as Lord in a world that resists Him. So, how are we to to do that? What ethics do we live by? What does that look like in a day like ours? In Hebrews 13 we find five values that provide us an ethical basis for how we live in sharp contrast to the cultural values of people around us. Christians love well. Christians cherish marriage. Christians value contentment. Christians enjoy security. Christians respond to authority. On Sunday we will begin to examine these ethical values one by one. Meditate upon them. Answer the question, “How then should I live?”
